Willie Belle (Minor) Shelton Johnson Obituary
ODESSA Willie Belle Minor Shelton Johnson, age 88, of Coleman, passed away at Coleman County Medical Center on Monday, June 2, 2014. She was born in Coleman on July 17, 1925, to the late Horbert A. Minor and Inez (Carriger) Minor. Belle married James Henry Shelton, who preceded her in death on January 26, 1973. She later married Sammy Houston Johnson, who also preceded her in death in June of 2004. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Coleman and very active in her community.

Her hot rolls were her way of sending her love at funerals, celebrations, and family gatherings, and she would go the extra mile for anyone. She was "Nanny" to her grandbabies and loved her grandkids and great-grandchildren wholeheartedly.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Inez Minor; father: Horbert Minor; beloved step-mother: Olive Clyde Minor; and infant brother and sister; and her sisters: Nancy Bouldin and Eulah Mae Copeland.
Those left to cherish her love and memory are her sons: Aubery Alonzo Shelton of Coleman and Henry Wayne Shelton and wife Pat of Odessa; daughter: Donna Rockey of Coleman; adopted daughter: Connie Smith and her family of Dallas; six grandchildren: James, Jamie, Lisa, Henry, Aubery, and Danny; eight great-grandchildren; and her special niece: Lynette Clevenger of Woodward, OK.
The family will receive friends at Acres West Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 5, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 6, 2014, at Faith Community Baptist Church in Odessa, officiated by Brother Wayne Shelton.
