MIDLAND Dallas Henry Brewer, Jr., 49, of Midland, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, August 20, 2014. |
The family had a celebration honoring Dallas' life on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Dallas was born in Hillsboro, Oregon, to Dallas Henry Brewer, Sr. and Erika Schmied McVay on March 27, 1965.
On February 15, 1991, he married his soul mate, Monica Frahm Brewer, in Odessa, Texas. Together the couple raised two children, Nicholas and Coleen. Dallas was a hardworking man and spent 20 years of his career working for Jones Brothers Dirt and Paving, Inc. as a Superintendent. Dallas was very proud to have been involved in the building of the first elevated overpass in Texas and even brought home an award for the project. Besides having a strong work ethic, he will always be jokingly remembered for his upfront and honest personality and his incredible ability to always be blunt and hard-headed. He will lovingly be remembered for his prankster personality, love for his family (especially his grandchildren), and his amazing sense of humor. Dallas loved all things a rugged man would, fishing, NASCAR, hanging out by the lake, and being outdoors. His grandchildren were his true weakness. He was a role model for his son and an example of what a good man should be to his daughter. Dallas will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Monica Brewer; son, Nicholas Brewer; daughter, Coleen Bracewell and husband, John; grandchildren, Kyha Amirea Walker-Brewer and Gunnar Roy Brewer; father, Dallas Henry Brewer, Sr. and wife, Jan; mother, Erika McVay and husband, Carl; sisters, Debra Parum and Charity Campbell; brother, David Brewer; and his loyal dog, Boudro.
Dallas is preceded in death by an older brother, Roy James Brewer.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
