LAS VEGAS, NEV. Alvin Chester Hudson passed away at the age of 96, Thursday, January 30, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. |
He had resided in Las Vegas 51 years. He was born December 20, 1917 in Anson, Jones County, Texas. He was preceded in death by his Father, James H. Hudson and Mother, Mattie Virginia Harden of Odessa, brother Paul A. Hudson, sister Floy E. Boulware, first wife Dora Agnes Jenkins, and oldest son Terry Lee Hudson of Odessa.
He is survived by his second wife, Peggy Griffin Hudson of Las Vegas, daughters Linda Everhart and spouse Ed of Abilene, TX, Debrah Gann and spouse George of Midland, TX, Aline Keiser of Las Vegas, son Jody Hudson of Las Vegas, and daughter-in-law Judy Bailey Hudson of Odessa, Tx, Grandchildren Kristi Graham, Darren Hudson, Lonnie Everhart, Emily Powell, Joseff Keiser, Jesse Keiser. Great grandchildren: Brittany Anne Graham, Ashley Lauren Graham, Toby Thomas Hudson, Deanna Leigh Hudson, Victoria Marie Everhart, Hudson Chase Everhart and Shelby Anne Powell.
In September 1935, Alvin joined the U.S. Army and served for three years. Between 1940 to1941 Alvin volunteered and rejoined the U. S. Air Corps. He remained in India six months after the end of World War II.
Alvin moved to Odessa with his family in 1952 where he lived until he moved to Las Vegas in 1962.
Interment will be at Memorial Veterans North, Boulder City, NV.
