David was born December 3, 1949, in Artesia, NM, to Jim and Jane Tindall.
David grew up and attended school in Odessa. He was a 1968 graduate of Permian High School and attended Odessa College and the University of Houston.
Returning to Odessa, David worked at BJ Hughes, Tindall and Company, The Brewery, and Wall Street Bar and Grill. David, with business partner, Sharon King, owned and operated JoJo's Drive-In for 14 years. David was proud of his work there where he served "the best hamburgers in West Texas." David loved food and loved to cook. Texas Monthly Magazine published two articles on JoJo's in their series of the "best places to eat in Texas." After Jo Jo's closed, David worked for the Odessa American and Zucchi's Restaurant.
David was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by his two sisters, Cathy Shifflette and Patti Kincaid both of Odessa, two nieces, two nephews, and seven great-nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Monday March 17, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home with Tim Baugh officiating.
Interment to be held private at a later date.
