Henry Andrew Koszarsky, 85, of Canonsburg, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014, in Golden Living Center of South Hills.
He was born May 20, 1929, in Manifold, a son of the late John and Albina Kurek Koszarsky.
Mr. Koszarsky served in the Korean War
with the U.S. Army
He lived in Canonsburg for the past 58 years, where he was a member of St. Patrick Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 191 of Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 of Houston.
Mr. Koszarsky was a watchmaker. He enjoyed making and repairing watches. For more than 25 years, in Great Southern Shopping Center, he worked for Jewelry Box and Black Stone Jewelers.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at their family picnics.
On October 1, 1955, he married his beloved wife of 58 years, Margaret Borsos, who survives.
Also surviving are daughter Judith L. (David) McCobin of State College; two sons, Henry A. (Andrea) Koszarsky Jr. of Florence, S.C., and Christopher (Laurie) Koszarsky of Holly Springs, N.C.; four grandchildren, Julianne and Matthew McCobin and Braden and Maia Koszarsky; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Koszarsky was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased are three sisters, Mary Lemly, Cecelia Allen and Helen Voiner, and three brothers, John, Leon and Anthony Koszarsky.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 19. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
