Thomas Anthony Bova Jr.

Thomas Anthony Bova Jr., 79, of Washington, died unexpectedly Sunday, July 27, 2014, in his home.
He was born January 19, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Thomas A. Bova Sr. and Mary Elizabeth DeFillippo.
For 28 years, Mr. Bova was employed at Washington Steel Corp. as a laborer.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mr. Bova was a member of Jessop Club, Slovak Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars 927 and Sons of Italy. He enjoyed music, playing guitar and singing and loved dogs.
Surviving are two sons, Daniel Bova and Jesse Bova, both of Washington; a daughter, Rose Bova of Washington; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many friends.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a son, Thomas A. Bova III; and a daughter-in-law, Susan Lee Bova.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 2 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, July 31, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Robert Englert officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
