William Burns Wise, 70, of Carmichaels, died Sunday May 25, 2014, in his home.Mr. Wise was born August 28, 1943, in Greensboro, a son of the late Burns Wesley and Goldie Thelma Morris Wise.On December 10, 1963, he married Janette Williams Wise, who survives.Mr. Wise served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 9 years and was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in Greene County until his retirement after 35 years.Mr. Wise is also survived by six children, Billie Jo Belkin (Richard) of Bridgeville, Lisa Anne Farabee (Michael) of Waynesburg, Belinda Lynn Yoder (Michael) of Garards Fort, Wesley Burns Wise (Tamela) of Carmichaels, Duane Joseph Wise (Dayna Rhea) of Juniata and Sherry Loueva Wise Wright of Carmichaels; a sister, Ruby Wise of Greensboro; a brother, David L. Wise (Karen) of Greensboro; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.A daughter, Candy Loueva Wise is deceased.Mr. Wise was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491, American Legion Post 400 and North American Hunting Club.Gardening, hunting and fishing were his favorite pastimes.Friends will be received in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, 724-966-5100, Paul M. Lesako, funeral director/supervisor, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, May 29. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Harold O. Kelley officiating.Interment will follow in Garards Fort Cemetery.Full military rites will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 and the American Legion Post 400.
