Roy A. Hupp, 94, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in his home in Sebring, Fla.

He was born December 15, 1919, in Washington. Mr. Hupp served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed at Jessop Steel Mill in Washington, before entering the Army. After his tour of duty, he returned to Jessop and retired there after 42 years. He and his wife became residents of Sebring in 1989.
After retiring, he enjoyed gardening and traveling. Most of all, he loved the special times with his family. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dorothy, of 76 years; his daughter, Sandra C. Clute of Chardon, Ohio; sons Fred Hupp of Sebring and Ronald Hupp of Bainbridge, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Dowden Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Friday, June 13, with the Rev. Scott McLean officiating. Visitation was an hour prior to services. Burial took place in Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Avon Park, Fla., with military rites presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4300.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Mr. Hupp to Good Shepherd Somers Hospice House, 1110 Hammock Road, Sebring, FL 33870.
