Bruna B. Yarkosky, 81, of Houston, died Friday, June 20, 2014, in Canonsburg Hospital.
She was born October 27, 1932, in Meadow Lands, a daughter of Emilio and Erminia Colotti Bazzoli.
Mrs. Yarkosky was a 1950 graduate of Chartiers Township High School.
She had worked for Bell Telephone in Washington for 16 years and National City Bank in Canonsburg for 18 years, retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Yarkosky was a member of the Bell Telephone 10-year-club and the Italian Tyrolean Society of Pittsburgh. She also served as an auditor for Chartiers Township.
Mrs. Yarkosky was a charter member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and Guild and Rosary Society, served as a Lector and was a Eucharistic minister.
On September 3, 1955, she married Robert J. Yarkosky, who died August 3, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Robert R. Yarkosky (Sherry) of Freeburg, Ill., and Darryl D. Yarkosky (Jamie Zofchak) of Washington; a daughter, Lisa L. Neil (Robert) of Charleroi; two grandchildren, Morgan Neil and Zachary Neil (Meghan); two sisters, Gilda Cancilla and Stefani Amistadi, both of McMurray; a brother, Raymond Bazzoli of Meadow Lands; a sister-in-law, Edith Bazzoli; and many nieces and nephews.
A brother, Emil S. Bazzoli, is deceased.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands. The family asks everyone to please meet at the church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. The rosary will be recited by the Christian Mothers and Guild at 7 p.m. Monday, in the funeral home.
