Donley Albert Martin, 86, of Herman, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, in V.N.A. Inpatient Hospice, Butler, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Martin, who was affectionately known as "Pap," was born June 10, 1928, in Sycamore, Greene County, a son of the late Levi Earl and Madelyn Ewart Martin.
He attended the Ross and Nineveh schools in Greene County until eighth grade.
Mr. Martin retired from Pepsi-Cola Co., where he was employed as a mechanic. He was formerly employed at Pullman Standard.
He was an active member and former deacon of North Street Christian Church, Butler.
Mr. Martin belonged to National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse Association, Northwest Pennsylvania Steam Engine and Old Equipment Association and North American Ford, Fordson, Ferguson Collectors Association.
His favorite hobby was restoring antique tractors. His sons will donate his favorite Fordson tractor to National Pike Museum, Brownsville, in his memory.
Surviving are two sons, Donnie Martin and wife Cindy and Bill Martin wife Linda, both of Prosperity; four daughters, Nancy Mundell and husband Jerry of Avella, Debbie King and husband Steven of Butler, Dawna Rhodaberger and husband A. J. of Herman and Dianna Hoehn and husband Paul of Butler; two brothers, Ed Martin of Alabama and Bill Martin of Washington; three sisters, Emma Jo Breese and Mona Lou Beatty, both of Washington, and Sandy Boyle of Ohio; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was eagerly awaiting the arrival of another great-grandson, expected in August.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Chervyl Staley Martin, who passed away November 1, 2009, and a brother.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, July 17, in North Street Christian Church, 226 West North Street, Butler, with Pastor Bob Huber and Pastor Jeff Miller officiating.
