Dorothy Elaine Danchik, 86, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014, following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 17, 1927, to the late John and Helen Kukic Timko of Daisytown.
On July 28, 1951, she married the love of her life, the late Michael "Barber Mike" Danchik Sr., with whom she celebrated 46 years.
Mrs. Danchik was a retired beautician. She worked alongside her husband in Vestaburg and later in her home in Centerville.
She was Roman Catholic and a longtime member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Richeyville. She was also a member of Catholic Slovak Ladies Association for many years.
Mrs. Danchik was a gifted seamstress and talented crafter. She sewed many of her children's and grandchildren's clothes and costumes.
She enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, crocheting, gardening, word-search puzzles and bingo. She was an excellent cook and baker.
Mrs. Danchik was the cherished mother of Arleen Fedeli, with whom she resided at the time of her death, Michelle Kessinger of Hagerstown, Md., and Michael Danchik Jr. of California; dear grandmother of five grandsons and two granddaughters; treasured great-grandmother; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are five sisters, Mary (Steve) Sabo, Pauline (Mike) Kime, Irene (Lundo) Vivian, Anna (Steve) Mizerak and Helen (Anthony) Stetcko.
