ROBERTS, DARREL M.  
ROBERTS, DARREL M., 53 Summerfield - Darrel M. Roberts, 53, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on May 17, 2015. He was born on December 27, 1961 in Hahira, GA to Cecil and Jackie (Harris) Roberts. Darrel moved to the area from Miami, FL, many years ago. He enjoyed reading, gardening and raising chickens. Darrel graduated from College of Central Florida with a Bachelor's Degree. He was a prep cook at Sonny's for nine years and was currently working at Cracker Barrel. Darrel is survived by his mother, Jackie Paul of Summerfield, FL, brother, Doran Roberts of Summerfield, FL, and sister, Debbie Baker of Jacksonville, FL. He was preceded in death by his father Cecil. A memorial service will be held for Darrel on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Summerfield. Inurnment will be in Friendship Cemetery in Hahira, GA at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society.

Robinette, Bernard R. (Ray)  
ROBINETTE, BERNARD R. Bernard R. Robinette (Ray) left his residence in Ocala, Florida to join his beloved wife, Thelma, on May 26, 2015, after a heroic battle with leukemia. Ray was born in Pocahontas, VA, on November 4, 1930, to James Kemp and Maude Bell Robinette. He joined four brothers and three sisters, and graduated from Pocahontas High School in 1948. Ray joined the U.S. Army in 1949, and served in the Korean Conflict. MSG Robinette served his country earning a number of awards reflecting his meritorious service, including the Purple Heart, Silver Star, The Air Medal, and three Bronze Stars, spent two tours of duty in Viet Nam as first sergeant in the infantry, was active duty advisor to both National Guard and Reserve Units, instructor for the ROTC program at John Carrol University, and drill sergeant at several jobs. While stationed at Fort Knox, KY, Ray met Thelma, and they were married on December 19, 1954. Through their marriage they lovingly raised three children, Debra Reed and Diane Copley of Ocala, FL, and Douglas Robinette who preceded his father in death. Ray and Thelma were the proud grandparents of Elizabeth, Jennifer, and Michael Copley, Kali and Annie Reed, and their great grandson Johnny Reed. Bernard Robinette is also survived by his beloved sister-in-law Dorothy Megas, a niece and nephew Katina and Tony Megas, as well as their children. Ray was an active member of College Road Baptist Church where he served as an usher, and served with Young at Heart. The memorial service for Ray will be held at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1515 NE 3rd Street, Ocala, Florida 34470 on Saturday, May 30, 2015 (Today) at 11:00AM. Rowe, Thomas Michael  
ROWE, THOMAS MICHAEL, 89 Ocala - Thomas Michael Rowe, of Ocala, Florida, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in Ocala. He was born on April 6, 1926 in Oswego, New York, son to the late Michael Joseph and Louise E. (LaFave) Rowe. He grew up in Oswego and in 1943 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He then attended LeMoyne College, Syracuse, NY, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting. His professional career was spent as a salesman with several companies, retiring from Holbrook Lumber Company in Albany, NY after 25 years as a Vice President of Sales. He was a member at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing with his many friends and family. Tom was also preceded in death by his son Michael. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Barbara R. (Mondy) Rowe, daughters Rebecca Caiella of Ocala, FL, Elizabeth (Joseph) LaBella of Cary, NC, Andrea (Lawrence) Monaco of Point Pleasant, NJ; grandchildren Erica (Jonathan) Rossi, Jenna and Karina LaBella, Elizabeth Lawrence and Samuel Monaco; great grandchildren, Lucas and Caleb Rossi. Mass will be said at 8:30AM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala, FL 34481.
