BEEDLE, FREDERICK HERBERT "FRED" - Belleview  
Belleview - Frederick "Fred" Herbert Beedle, 92, of Belle-view, FL, passed away on Sun-day, May 1, 2016. Fred was born in Pontiac, Michigan to Fred and Elsie Mae Beedle, and moved to Belleview, FL in 1988. He was a retired auto worker and US Navy Veteran, serving six years in WWII. Fred was a member of Ocklawaha United Methodist Church. He was an avid sailor and com-petitive horseshoe thrower in Marion County. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Norma Beedle; chil-dren, Roger (Dru) Beedle, Bradley (Sandra) Beedle, Stacy Beedle, Shiela (Brooke) Strang, Allen (Nancy) Beedle, and Fred (Diane) Beedle, nu-merous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Ocklawaha UMC and burial will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. BEERS Jr., HAROLD A.  
BEERS JR., HAROLD A., 85 Belleview - Harold was born October 3, 1930 in Lansing, MI. He passed away on April 21, 2016 at his home in Belleview, FL. under the care of Hospice of Marion Co. Harold grew up in Brighton, MI. After graduation, he joined the Army during the Korean War and was a cook at a Hospital Base. He was a Dairy Farmer and later became an Owner, Trainer, Driver of Standard bred race horses. In 1971, he moved to Belleview, Florida. He had a trucking business, over the road and later hauling mobile homes. He was later contracted to mow all of the roadways of Marion Co. He had two IMCA race cars and was involved with WHIPS carriage driving club which led to his job training horses for the Arabian Knights Dinner Club in Orlando and driving carriage tours on Mackinac Island in MI. In retirement, he worked at the Marion Flea Market. His latest passion was country music at Catfish Johnny's in Lake Panasoffkee. He is survived by his long time companion, Flo Tomasella; three daughters, Katie and Michael Proctor, Julie and James Hamlin, Pattie and Greg Hill; six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Harold requested that there be no services. He chose cremation and his ashes will be buried in The National Cemetery Bushnell at a later date. Harold believed that there is no organization better than Hospice and memorials can be made to a Hospice of your choice.

BOYER, IRMA LOUISE GOODYEAR SLAUGHTER (BOOTS)  
BOYER, IRMA LOUISE GOODYEAR (BOOTS) SLAUGHTER, 84 Ocala - Irma Louise Goodyear (Boots) Slaughter Boyer passed away peacefully at her home April 27, 2016 from natural causes. She was born in Ocala, FL, August 31, 1931, to parents Martha Whaley and Warren Goodyear. She was proud of her fifth generation Florida heritage and lived in the Ocala-Ocklawaha area for over 50 Years. Boots was a dedicated member of the Methodist Church of Ocklawaha. She and her husband Mel spent many hours raising money for the building fund of the church. She was preceded in death by husbands, Marlowe Slaughter and Mel Boyer; sister, Vivian Goodyear; son, Michael Slaughter; and grandson, Marlowe Slaughter. She is survived by brother, Ed Goodyear, Lake Placid, FL; grandchildren, Suzanna (Andy), Gaeta, Chicago, Ill., Andrew (Liz) Slaughter, Ocklawaha, FL, and four great grandchildren. Services and burial will be announced at a later date. Boots will be missed by many in the community. She touched the lives of those around her and everyone who knew her kindness and cheerfulness will never forget her love. Friends who wish to honor her may make a donation in her name to the Methodist Church of Ocklawaha, 13333 Ocala Rd, Ocklawaha, FL 32179
