DUNLAP, PHILIP BENJAMIN - Ocala  
DUNLAP, PHILIP BENJAMIN, 31 Ocala – Philip Benjamin Dunlap of Ocala, Florida died August 26, 2015 following a motorcycle accident on August 22, 2015. He was 31. Born in Jacksonville, Fl., he came to Ocala in 1988. He was a member of the first Christian Church in Dunnellon, Fl. He graduated from Forrest High School and graduated from Central Florida Community College in Ocala, where he majored in Computer Science. He enjoyed scuba diving and spending time with his grandmother. He is survived by his father, Bryan Dunlap; mother, Grace Dunlap; grandmother; Shirley Robbins; brother, Aaron Dunlap. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Knauff Funeral Home-Williston at 11 am with Pastor Warren Gilpin officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Springs Cemetery near Romeo under the direction of Knauff Funeral Home- Williston.

MCCOY, BERNARD Ocala - Bernard McCoy, of Ocala Florida passed away on Friday, August 28, 2015. Bernard leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife, Mae McCoy; three sons, Willie Mosley, Freddie Brown, Derrick Brown (Tracie); daughter, Sharon Vereen (Levone); sisters, Gay Delaughter (Charles), Ledonia Shelter, Wilhelmenia Rhem, Vivian Herring; brothers, James Herring (Vanessa), Jerry Herring (Mildred), Willie Herring (Omago); six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends . Visitation will be on Friday September 4, 2015 at The New Cunningham Funeral Home from 10am to 5pm. Wake Services from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. Funeral service for Bernard McCoy will be held on Saturday September 5, 2015 at 2:30pm at Tabernacle of Deliverance Outreach Ministries, 1120 W. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL.

Newell, Lynn Edward  
NEWELL, LYNN EDWARD, 69 Ocala - Lynn Edward Newell went be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 29th. He was 69 years old. Born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to the late Edgar and Rosemary Newell, Lynn served in both the US Navy and the National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patricia Scheuermann Newell, four children Elisabeth Clayton (Richard), Joseph Sears (Karen), Stephanie Brown and Lynnette Morales (Anthony), 10 grandchildren, one great grandchild, five brothers and three sisters. He loved his family and friends. He was a member of the Meadowbrook Church, the R/C model club and bocce league. His hobbies were flying R/C airplanes, riding motorcycles, cooking and repairing things for friends and family. He was retired from the Ocala Police Department. Private services will be held. ROBINSON, STEVE  
ROBINSON, STEVE Ocala - On August 29th, 2015, loving husband and father Steve Robinson passed away. He was a proud Vietnam War veteran in the U.S. Army, who served as a helicopter door gunner and also earned a Silver Star. He was a strong, caring father, husband, grandfather, great grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife Mary of Ocala; son Kyle (Lisa) Robinson of Archer; daughters Duniel (David) Benson of Ocala, and Jodi (Kevin) Robinson of Holbrook, MA; sons Steven (Megan) Macomber of Ocala and Sean (Heather) Robinson of Ocala; 10 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4th from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at the Roberts Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave, Ocala. A funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00pm. Burial with military honors will take place at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, 5050 SW 20th Street, Ocala beginning at 2:30PM. Smith, Gail (Gladney) - Ocala  
GLADNEY SMITH, GAIL Ocala - Gail Gladney Smith passed away after a courageous battle of cancer on Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Tallahassee. Mrs. Smith was born in Marion County, Florida and graduated from North Marion High School (Reddick). While growing up, she was active in the 4-H program where she met her future husband. After high school, she attended and graduated from Florida State with an undergraduate and MBA degree. At the time of her death, she was a retired educator of 42 years, predominately in the Leon County School System. She served as department chair of her school and was a university supervisor for student teachers. She also mentored all beginning and new teachers to Fairview as well for over 10 years. As a most dedicated educator, Mrs. Smith was instrumental in involving her students in the History Fair on the local, state and national level. Her students excelled due to her guidance and direction. Gail was honored as an Outstanding Social Studies Teacher of the Year in 2003 by the Florida Council of the Social Studies as well as many Local Teacher of the Year awards. Beyond her love for teaching, if you met Gail, the conversation would at some time turn to her passion and love for animals. She volunteered for several groups supporting the care of God's creatures. She was also dedicated to helping others by volunteering for many charities including the American Cancer Society & the United Way. She is survived by her loving and faithful husband Don, of over 50 years and faithful companions Micco and Charley. She is also survived by her mother, Lucille Gladney of Micanopy, siblings Judy (Jim) Whitesell of Cayce, SC, and Hal (Darlene) Gladney of Micanopy, sister-in-law, Virginia Peebles (Alton), brother-in-law, Tommy Smith (Cindy). She also enjoyed the company of her nieces, and nephews. Finally, she was blessed with the friendships of many. She is predeceased by her father, Harvey Gladney. The family wishes to thank The Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, and Big Bend Hospice of Tallahassee for the love, care and encouragement. Memorials may be made to Fairview Middle School - Attn: Scott Hansen 3415 Zillah St. Tallahassee 32305 to help students with necessary items; Big Dog Rescue of Tallahassee 4728 Pimilico Dr. Tallahassee 32309; or Big Bend Hospice 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee 32308. A memorial service for Mrs. Gail Smith will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road in Tallahassee. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. and the service will follow. Interment will be on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Wacahoota Cemetery off highway 121 near Gainesville.

STIFT, THOMAS MATTHEW, 51 Ocala- Thomas Matthew Stift was born at Fort Jackson, South Carolina to Franceslee and Edward Stift. He gradu-ated from Interlachen High School, Interlachen, FL. He will be remembered for his care free spirit, positive atti-tude, his love for nature, and especially for his artistic abili-ties that can be seen with fam-ily, friends and businesses throughout the state. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward A. Stift, Sr. He leaves to cherish his life and memory, a loving and de-voted mother, Franceslee Stift, three sisters, Kathleen Hugh-son (Greg), Frances, Patricia Sutton (Gene), brother, Ed-ward, Jr. (Nora), six nieces and nephews: Wendy Hughson, Tim Sutton, Greg Hughson, Jr., Amanda Sutton, Jeremy Stift, Randi Hynes, and twelve grand nieces and nephews. Services are entrusted to St. George Anglican Cathedral at 11:00AM on Saturday, Sep-tember 5, 2015, 5646 SE 28th St., Ocala, FL 34480. A re-ception will follow in the fel-lowship hall. EVERETT JR., HAROLD M., 78 Ocklawaha - Harold Monroe Everett, Jr. passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at his home with his family after a long battle with cancer. Harold was born on January 13. 1937 to Rachel Durham Everett and Harold M. Everett Sr. He was a good man who loved and lived life to the fullest, helping anyone who needed it, whether he knew then or not. He enjoyed crabbing, fishing, boating, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a laborer at General Motors in Wilmington, DE., and a former volunteer for the Leipsic, DE. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Rachel Durham Everett, and Harold M. Everett Sr., daughter, Donna M. Everett of Milsboro, DE., grandson, Branden Lee Tisdell of Dover, DE., sister, Hollie, and her husband, Al Giampietro of Newark, DE, sister, Mildred Everett, and several nieces and nephews. At decedent's request, no services will be held. A celebration of life for the family and close friends will be held at a later date.
