Brian M. Patnode

Major Brian M. Patnode (U.S. Army Ret.) age 40 of Ocala, Florida was born June 6, 1973 in Ocala, Florida and died August 3, 2013 in Richmond, Virginia.
He was a graduate of UCF and was a Christian by faith. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army, retiring in March of 2013, and served three combat tours in Iraq, receiving a Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and the ARCOM with Valor for that service. Additionally, Major Patnode was a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Levenworth, Kansas.
A loving and devoted husband and father, his beloved family includes: wife of 15 years Rachel Clark-Patnode of Leesburg, Florida; daughter Ryleigh Patnode; sons Ryder and Levi Patnode; father Bruce (Pam) Patnode of Ocala, Florida; mother Pam Rutledge of Ocala, Florida; sister Kristie Lamertina of Orlando, Florida; father and mother-in-law David and Darlene Clark; sister-in-law Leah (Tyler) Clark-Jackson; and brother-in-law Ben Clark.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday August 8, 2013 at Grace Bible Baptist Church, Leesburg, Florida at 10 AM with a committal service including Full Military Honors following at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 12:30 PM.
