Doris Greene LaChance

Ocala - Doris Greene LaChance, 82, of Ocala, Florida, passed away on October 17, 2013 in Ocala.
Funeral service will be held at College Road Baptist Church, 5010 SW Hwy 200, Ocala, Florida on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Alan Cotney of College Road Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Ocala, Florida. Visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, on Sunday, October 20, 2013 between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Doris was born in Chipley, Florida to William B. and Ethel Peel on October 21, 1930. She went to high school at Chipley High School and graduated in 1948. She went on to earn a degree from Jones Business College, Jacksonville, Florida. She worked as a homemaker and mother. She was a beautiful and elegant lady who enjoyed being with her family.
Doris is survived by her loving husband, Earl R. LaChance of Ocala, Florida; as well as her sisters Mary Virginia Peel and Peggy Ann Williams (Dave); her brother Donnie Peel (Linda); sister-in-law Sally Peel; her three sons, C. Ray Greene, III (Sue), Wm. Bedford Greene, Sr. (Lisa) and Jack A. Greene (Sharla); her grandchildren Raeanne Greene Cook, Katie Greene Hart, Wm. Bedford Greene, Jr., Kelly Doris Greene, Elizabeth T. Greene, Sean P. Finn, Tiffany Greene Denton, Brittany Greene Mowrey, Haley Robinson, Josey Robinson; and her seven great grandchildren, Chole Anne Cook, Chance Hart, Wm. Bedford Greene, III, Makynlee Denton, Lexyee "Lulu" Denton, Jackson Mowrey, Olivia Mowrey and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her late husband, C. Ray Greene, Jr.; her sister Grace Malloy; her brother, Joe Peel; her stepson Louis J. LaChance; and her grandson, C. Ray Greene, IV.
