Orange Springs - Janice L. (Gallatin) Long, 76, of Orange Springs, stepped into glory Thursday, June 12, 2014, with her loving family at her side, following a brief illness. Born May 30, 1938 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Helen (Johnson) Gallatin.
She was a longtime member of the Ft. McCoy Church of God. Janice was a loving wife and mother, who faithfully served her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed taking care of her family.
Surviving is her devoted husband of 55 years, Daniel Long, Sr.; three beloved children, Brenda Long of Bradenton, Daniel Long, Jr. and wife Lori, and Benjamin Long and wife Ashley, all of Ocala; and a number of cousins and friends in the Greene County, Pennsylvania area.
Friends will be received in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, 501 Morgantown St. Point Marion, Pa., 15474 (724-725-5245) on Friday, from 6 - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 until the 11 AM hour of service. Interment follows in Fairview Cemetery, Greene County, Pa.
Memorial Services for Janice will be held at a later date in the Ft. McCoy Church of God, and will be announced.
