Tavares - Jeannette McClooney (Snookie) Woods, 82, left us on October 12, 2013 in Tavares, Florida.
Jean was born July 23, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of William and Shirley McClooney. Her father was employed by the American Totalisator Company. Her mother was a homemaker.
Jean was educated in the Baltimore County educational system, graduating from Towlson High School in 1951. She attended the Maryland Institute of Art after her graduation. Jean entered the United States Air Force in 1951 and attended college again at Arizona State College in Tempe Arizona. She met and married DavidB. Woods in March of 1952. Jean and Dave had 3 children, Thomas Carter, Lisa Brunk,and Michael McClooney. In 1961 Jean and Dave moved to Lima, Peru where they stayed until 1965, moving hack to the United States.
Jean spent most of her life living in Arizona before moving to Florida in 1978.
Her interest included art and she was an accomplished artist using watercolors, ink, pencil, acrylics, and oils. In Florida, Jean and Dave went back to one their first loves, thoroughbred race horses. The horses ran in jeans name with Dave as trainer and was very successful in the late 1980's and early 1990's.
Jean is survived by her husband David, sisters Patricia Banner and Cheryl Pratt, brother William, sons Thomas and his spouse Jeri & Michael and his spouse Linda and daughter Lisa Hembree and her husband Terry, and 5 grandchildren.
