Ocklawaha - John M. Branton of Ocklawaha, Florida passed away peacefully on December 17, 2013 at the age of 82. He was born September 13, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York to Jack and Maude Branton.
John served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and went on to work as a mechanic at Lockheed Martin. He later became a mechanic foreman for Eastern Airlines until his retirement in 1989.
John was married to Judith Landon, and they had three children. He enjoyed reading books on his nook, doing puzzles, teasing his sister, and beating his son, Sean, at wii golf. He led a long, happy life, and his caring spirit and sense of humor will be greatly and forever missed by all who knew him.
John is survived by his sisters Vivian, Carol, and Joanie, and by his children Sean, Scott, and Andrea.
A memorial service will be held at Roberts Funeral Home, 606 Southwest 2nd Ave. in Ocala, Florida on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing at 1:00 p.m..
