Ocala - Judith A. Miller, 76, of Ocala entered into heaven on November 28, 2013.
Born August 16, 1937 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Theodore A. Wray and Martha S. Wray. She spent most of her life in Indiana where she married William Blum. She served in the United States Air force from 1957 to 1960 and worked tirelessly for Veterans rights at the Veterans Administration for 25 years.
She raised her only child and together they moved to Florida in the early 70's. After retirement, she settled in St. Petersburg and later moved to Ocala. She enjoyed reading, playing Bunko, crossword puzzles, her dogs, shopping and most of all spending time with family.
She is preceded in death by loving husband of five years William Miller; sister, Jean Campilango; brother, Terry Wray and her dog, Mactavish. She is survived by her son, David (Judy) Blum; cousin, Jan Towers; grandchildren, Amanda and Ryan Blum; three grandsons by marriage, Aaron, Ryan, Andrew Hoel; and three great grandchildren Savannah, Bella and Jacob. She also has a niece Lisa and two nephews Scotty and Brian.
The family will be receiving friends from 10-11:30 with a service starting at 11:30 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Donations can be made to the Ritz Veterans Village, 1205 E. Silver Springs Blvd. Ocala, FL 34470.
