Judith Christoff Obituary

CHRISTOFF,
JUDITH ANN MCCLELLAN
Ocala - Judith Ann McClellan Christoff, age 78, of Ocala, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013.
Judy was born in West Palm Beach, FL on August 16, 1935. She grew up in West Palm Beach, graduated from Palm Beach High and attended Palm Beach Junior College. She met John Christoff while attending PBJC and were soon married. The young couple moved to Gainesville, FL where John was attending the University of Florida.
Judy and John moved to Ocala in 1960. She was active in the Garden Club and served as President of the Ocala Junior Woman's Club as well as Chairman of the Debutant Society in the late 1970's. Judy was a member of Christ the King Anglican Church in Ocala. She loved gardening, decorating, and mostly spending time with family and friends in Ocala; Ormond-by-The Sea, FL; and Burnsville, NC. Her Ocala home of 50 years is a Japanese ranch style, custom designed by her and her late husband, John Christoff, an architect.
John passed in July of 2011. Judy is survived by her daughter Kathi (Jim) Christoff-Fox of Longwood, FL; son Steve (Sherrie) Christoff of Ocala, FL; daughter Carol (Rodney) Christoff Rogers of Summerfield, FL; and grandchildren Cale Rogers of Ocala; Lauren (Tyler) Christoff Arrington of Ft Lauderdale, FL; Evan (Elizabeth) Christoff of Memphis, TN; Alyson Rogers of Ocala; Adam Fox of Gainesville, FL; and Alex Fox of Gainesville, FL; her brother Kenyon "Wezel" (Denise) McClellan; and her brother-in-law Carl Christoff and sister-in-law Peggy McClellan.
Judy and John loved the Gators, enjoyed college sports and attended many of the various events at the University of Florida. The Christoffs, their children and grandchildren represent(ed) University of Florida, Florida State University and University of Central Florida as students and alumni and she was proud to be a Florida native. Judy and John were known in Ocala as long time business owners, philanthropist and active citizens, and were known to "always be together".
Help us celebrate their re-joining in a memorial service at 6:00 PM Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Christ the King Anglican Church, 3801 N US Hwy 441, Ocala, FL, 34475 with the Rev. Donald J.
