Ocala - Max R. Castro, age 55, of Ocala, FL passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013. He was born in Costa Rica on April 13, 1958. He moved to America at the age of 20 where he worked at Fabs Textile Industries and then the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department where he worked for 19 years as a Corrections Officer and Swat Team member. He married Marlene Quesada. They were married for 30 years and raised one son. They moved to Florida where he worked at the Federal Court House in Ocala. Max was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala. He enjoyed cycling, riding his Harley and spending time with his family and pets.
He is survived by his wife Marlene J. Castro of Ocala, FL; son Max Benjamin Castro of Ocala, FL; brothers Diego, Danny and Hugo Castro; and sisters Emily and Jenny Castro. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Materna Castro; and sister Olga Castro.
A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, FL on Sunday, October 13 2013 from 5-7 PM. A funeral will be held at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 5 SE 17th St, Ocala, FL on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 1 PM.
