Ocala - Pedro L. Morales, 64, of Ocala, FL, passed away November 25, 2012.
Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, he came to this area nine years ago from Queens, NY. He was a U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam, retired from the FDNY-EMS as a lieutenant and was a 911 first responder.
Mr. Morales was a Catholic by faith, a true patriot and enjoyed his military service, his work, helping people and was a loving family man.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Yvonne Morales; children: Suzanne C. Morales of Brooklyn, NY, Edith (Travis) Cates of Ocala, Angela (Kalen) Morales-Hill of Ocala; mother, Rosario Torres, of Ocala; grandchild, Melody Elizabeth Cates; brother, Raymond (Magdalia) Falcon of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters-in-law: Marie and Lisa Torres; goddaughters: Chelsea and Alexis Morris.
Visitation will be held at Roberts Funeral Homes, Bruce Chapel East 2739 SE Maricamp Rd., Ocala 732-9944 on Wednesday Nov. 28, 2012, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 3 - 5 p.m. Funeral services with military honors will follow at the funeral home at 5 p.m.
