CW3 Richard A. Scott (retired Army) went to be with the Lord October 24, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born November 3, 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI, He was a retired military officer having served 27 years. He also worked for Coca - Cola for 10 years and then went on to be a ultra sound technician. He finally "retired" to Florida where he could enjoy playing golf year round.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Hazel A. Scott; two daughters Terri M. Scott, Ste. Genevieve MO, and Rebecca H. Stewart Ocala, FL. Brothers; Gerald (Shirley) Scott, Schoolcraft MI, Norman (LouAnn) Scott, Ocala, FL. Sisters; Barbara Hall, Kalamazoo, MI, Martha (Kenneth) Dusseljee, Kalamazoo, MI and Nancy (Richard) Bierema, Ocala, FL. Grandchildren; Leigh (Michael) Sweeney, Cabot, AR, Matthew (Jacquie) Valentine, Nashville, TN, Andrew Ramsey, Sacramento, CA, Clifford Stewart, Seattle WA and Becca (Luis) Rivera, Baltimore, MID Great Grandchildren; Rachel Sweeney, Izabella and Zandres Rivera. Many loving nieces and great nieces, nephews and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Arba and Ida Scott and the following siblings, Mary Ellen, Edward, Fredrick, Kenneth, Raymond, Patricia, Robert and Phillip.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, October 28, 2013, 2:00 PM at The Villas at Spanish Oaks Social Hall 3150 NE 36'" Avenue, Ocala, FL. Final Interment: Fort Custer National Cemetery, Agusta, MI. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County Florida.
