Major Roy Chisholm

Lake City - Major Roy Chisholm, 56, passed away September 11, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Lake City, Florida.
Major Chisholm was born in Williston, Florida and grew up in Blitchon with his aunt Alberta Means. He attended Vanguard High School in Ocala. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the Corps in 2003.
Major Chisholm was preceded in death by his wife, Belinda Chisholm. He leaves to cherish his memory, a stepson, Durand C. Williams (U.S. Coast Guard); two loving sisters, Geraldine Green of Ocala, Mary A. Washington Atkins of Gainesville; and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation for Major Chisholm will be at Cunningham Funeral Home on September 20, 2013, from 10 am to 5pm. A wake service will be held at Cunningham Funeral Home at 6pm on September 20, 2013. Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 3 pm at House of God Church in Ocala. The family and friends are asked to meet at Cunningham Funeral Home, 434 NW Martin Luther King Jr. Ave, Ocala, Fl. 34475 at 2 pm to form the funeral cortege. Interment will be on Monday September 23, 2013 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
