Ocala - William Ray Arnold, 59, of Ocala, FL passed away October 13, 2013 at Woodland Terrace Nursing Home in Hernando under the care of Hospice from Early Onset Alzheimer's Disease.
He was born on August 7, 1954 in Hialeah, where in high school, he played football, was a wrestler and an avid weightlifter. He enjoyed fishing, diving, hiking, kayaking, camping and always weight training. He served as a Sergeant in the Army during the 1970's and 80's. He was a truck driver before his illness. Bill will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor and being a loving and connected husband, dad and stepfather.
He is survived by his wife of sixteen years, Vicki Arnold; brothers, Jessie Thomas Arnold, of Elizabethtown, KY, and David Arnold; sister, Durenda Fine of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; stepdaughter, Amber Tomasini, and grandson Andrew Tomasini both of Minneapolis, MN; and granddaughter, Sydney Nicole Stephens of Chiefland. Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Arnold of Sebring; his daughter Shawna Ray Arnold and his first wife Joyce Arnold both of Williston; his nephew, Earl R. Scott III, of Jacksonville; and his parents, Willie and Joan Arnold of Sebring.
A private service will be held in Williston. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's memory to Hospice of Citrus County.
