Ocala - Loretta Rita Fortin, loving mother, wife, sister and friend, passed away April 12, 2013 in Ocala. Born in Van Buren, Maine, October 3, 1920, she was the 6th child out of 13 born to Wilfred and Emeley (Beaulieu) Rossignol.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Adrien, brothers Willard, Maurille, Roland, and Clarence, sisters Lucy Cyr and Irene Lizotte. Left to cherish her memory are son, James and his wife Lorraine (Kozar); daughter, Odilia and her husband Orin Sumner; sisters, Lillian Thibodeau, Gertrude Tardif, Ann Lecomte, Jeanette LeBlanc, Theresina Rossignol and Madeleine Gendron; granddaughter, Lisa Manning and great-granddaughters Kaylee Belle and Zoe Lynn.
She was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and both she and her husband were active with the Knights of Columbus.
Viewing is at Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW SR# 200, (352) 854-2266, on April 18th from 5-7PM. A Mass will be said on Friday the 19th at noon at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Hwy. 200, Ocala. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice of Marion County.
