Ruth Holly Obituary
Ocala- Ruth "Charlene" Holly, 77, died on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Ocala and Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, R.L. "Buddy" Holly. She enjoyed her work a Ward Highlands Elementary School Cafeteria, where she worked for 28 years. She loved growing her flowers and watching NASCAR, but her true blessing in life was her family. She is survived by her children; Gene Holly, Debby Davis, Cheryl Chancy and Tommy Holly; grandchildren; Sandi Fries, Leslie Chancy and Emily Holly; one brother; Malbert O. Stewman of Illinois and his daughter Tonya Ward of Ocala and four great grandchildren. A visitation was held on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 5740 South Pine Avenue, Ocala, Fl. The funeral service was held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at OakCrest Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Terrell officiating . Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Your Dignity Provider is in charge of arrangements.

Gene,Debbie,Cheryl,and Tommy. I wish you all comfort at this time. You're Mom was a great lady and I have so many memories of her. That kitchen table was always filled with family and friends, that is one thing I'll never forget. I love you all.
