Blanche Strong Obituary

STRONG, BLANCHE
Ocala - Blanche "Bee" Strong passed away peacefully in her home at Marion Woods, May 10, 2011. Born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13, 1920, moved to Florida in 1982. Preceded in death by her parents Gustav and Olga Weinstein and loving husband and dance partner for 65+ years, Bud. She is survived by her three daughters, Sherry Drake (Elgin, II), Wendy Turner, Ocala FL and Robin (Paul) Saydak of Deerfield, Ill; five grandchildren, Rob, Trisha, Brett, Michael and Dana; one great grandchild, RJ. Bee's love for life and artistic flair were an inspiration. She never met a stranger. Local stage and screen credits, Oak Run 9 hole golf league past president, Red Hat Society and Hospice Legacy Volunteer. The world was her stage.... and a better place because she was in it and loved it. Help us celebrate her life on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Magnolia Room from 5:30 to 7:30pm, 212 Magnolia Ave. (two blocks south of Marion Theatre) Donations may be made to the Hospice of Marion County or charity of your choice.
