FOIT, DOROTHY ANN, 83
Silver Springs - Dorothy A. Foit, 83, passed away May 22, 2011. Born March 14, 1928, in Miami, she graduated from Edison High School in Miami. Daughter of H. Paul and Ida Prigg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Martha Alderman, and her brother, Herbert Paul Prigg Jr. She is survived by Donald Foit, her husband of 25 years; her son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Stephanie Walsh of Marathon, FL; grandchildren: Sierra Walsh, Melbourne, E. Walsh III; great-grandson, Mason Tunison; sisters: Mary Jeffery of Corona, CA; Jane Ellington of Springfield, OR; Nancy Rawls of Hattiesburg, MS; and brother, Paul Everett Prigg. She had many nephews and nieces. Dorothy, in her early years, was a dance instructor for Arthur Murray Studios. She owned a dress shop in Cocoa, FL, and Upland, CA. She was happiest when she was mowing grass on her Craftsman tractor. Her family loves her very much and will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Countryside Funeral Home, 9185 NE Jacksonville Road with Chaplain Wayne Hunter officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5 - 7 p.m.
