Gary Newman Obituary
Ocala - Gary Stephen Newman, 59, of Ocala, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. A native of New Jersey and graduate of Toms River High School, he lived in the shore area for over 50 years, but spent the last six years living in Ocala, Florida. Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Barbara Holmes Newman; his son, Stephen and his wife, Jessica; his son, David and his wife Lauren; his daughter, Alicia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Olivia, Sarah, and Matthew, as well as his brother, Bruce and his wife Sherri. His many nieces and nephews also mourn his passing. Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers the family asks that charitable donations be made in his name to the American Heart Association.

My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and family. God must have needed a good, kind, caring husband, father, grandfather and friend, because he took one of the best. He will be missed.
