John Lazar, age 88 of Hilliard, Ohio, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013.
John was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late John and Anna Lazar. Also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Florence Lazar. John was first generation born in the U.S., son, brother, altar boy, World War II Veteran, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, uncle, Scottish Rite 32 Degree Mason, golfer, woodworker, fisherman, engineer, builder, boater, handyman, traveler, ballroom dancer, Kiwanis member and one of the best people to walk the planet.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved sons, Ken (Nancy) and Ron (Lori); grandchildren, Matt and Jenna; brother, Joe; and many other extended family members and dear friends.
Family will receive friends from 5-6:30 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2014 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., where a memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m.. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Detroit, Michigan.
