CARROLL, JOSEPH J., 71
Ocala - Joseph J. Carroll, 71, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 18, 2012.
Born on October 24, 1941, in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Lubamersky) Carroll. At age 12, he pitched a perfect no-hit, no-run game in Little League playoffs. He was a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving on Air Force One and traveled extensively to the countries of Okinawa, Japan and Iceland. He worked at Ocala Regional Medical Center in supply for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Carroll; daughter, Samantha Carroll; son, Joseph Carroll; and his sister, Joan Carroll. He will be tremendously missed.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Robert's Funeral Home, 606 S.W. 2nd Avenue, Ocala, Florida. His funeral will be Monday, November 26, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Robert's Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery with full Military Honors.
