July 5, 2013

you are in my thoughts today

your twin sister Kat

May 20, 2013

My darling baby sister, It has taken this ling for me to bring myself to write this. I miss you so much. I thought that it was a unique sister thing that we stayed up late at night when everyone was sleeping and talked. OOPS you got me. I see you and Patti did the same thing.

It is so different because you were my Ocala Star banner LIbe at /five and TV 20 all in one. There is no replica of you. You were the little sister that worked the system as only a baby sister could do. You played one of us against the other but always loved us the same. There was no favorites with you. You knew how to get what you wanted from all of us.

The last conversation that I had with you was so sweet. You kept telling me not to hang up and if you fall asleep keep calling until I get you.

I tried but you did not answer the phone. I will always wonder if you knew at that time it would be our last conversation.

I should have come down that Saturday when I could not get through to you.

The ultimate momentyou needed me to be there I did not come through.

As I sit hee replaying our conversation you were telling me good bye I could not go to church on Mother's Day. Pat, Ella and I cleaned up the graves and had good laughs. I guess you know that the old dame Katherine Chancellor is gone. So much for the Young and the Restless. We both wished for a grandmother like her since we never kne wours.

I do not want to ay fancy words because you and I were always straight to the point. I just miss my little sister. You and
Able ahd a way of putting life in the proper perspective and never took your own advice.

If I had a redo and I could choose my baby brother and sister, I would choose you two all over again.

You guys were down right real to the core. You always had a scheme and called me green. I love all the advice you all gave to me and how you all loved unconditionally.
Iam there for your children as you asked me to be. Jr is the one that I talk to the most. I guess each of your sisters andbrothers have taken one under our wings. You know Novia. I send her a message oncve in a while on facebook but try to leave it up to her to reachout to me. Devon, you know him he is aluth.

I do not have anyone to ride allover looking for boiled peanuts with me, now.

Little did I know simple things like riding to the store, or you coming to get me to go incognito to see where the law was going, just simple things I would miss so much.

I never undersood ow oyu could live in Dc, Atlanta and everywhere else but you were the one who always knew what ws going on in Ocala.

I miss ya girl I watched how you transformed your way of thinking. More and more you were holding us holy rollers as you called us accontable. You used the word to teach me to realize as Christians we think we have a ticket to look downon others. But it is the ones who are hurting the most and has the least that we should be concerned about.

I love ya girl.

After the crowd has dispersed and the ceremonies are over we must accept Gods decision to take you home. We now reflect on the memories. Times we shared, emotions and thoughts as well as those words of wisdom and aspirations you had for us. We cannot help but mourn but we must be thankful to have you for that short time. I thank the Lord for your life and the influence it has placed on mine. You are and continually will be missed. I love you Ma Kathi! Your daughter from another mother.
