Before getting sick, she was an active member of the Archer Baptist Church for most of her life except for a period of living in Chiefland and being very involved with the Concord Baptist Church. As a young woman, she served as a waitress at the "Top of the Hill Restaurant" back in the early 1950's and then worked as a stay at home wife, mother and worked side by side with her husband on their 120 acre farm in the sand hills of Levy County for many years. After her children grew up she went to work part-time as a seamstress. She worked for Sears, Penny's, Burdines, and finally she retired from Macy's when her health demanded. She loved gardening and seeing her flowers bloom. Most of all she loved her family, friends, and just a simple life with her and her husband.

Cecil) Bush, Jesup, GA; Carlton (Penny) Shealy, Lake Butler; Carolyn (Mack) Vlacos, Gainesville; Charles (Charlene) Shealy, Columbus, GA; and Danny Shealy, Gainesville; with numerous nieces and nephews. Her Uncle, A.D. Shealy, Adel, GA and her husband's aunt, Jimmie C. Sapp, Raleigh, FL which has been her lifelong close relative and best friend.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 6-8 pm at Knauff Funeral Home. Services will be at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 25th with Rev. Cecil Bush, Dr. James Jackson, and Rev. Paul Coleman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Orange Hill Cemetery and then a reception at First Baptist Church of Archer.

I worked with Ms. Loretta at Burdines some years ago. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met while working there. She showed me some techniques in the art of being a seamtress and a good person. She was a true woman of God. God bless you.

Uncle Kayo, Rose Maria, Ernest, all 5 grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and to all family and friends of Aunt Loretta, I am so sorry of our loss. Aunt Loretta's beauty, talent, passion, respect, kindness and love, is a quality that she lived her life by true example and I am so thankful for the wonderful memories and so proud to say this was an amazing Aunt of mine. Unfortunately, because of the many miles of distance, I am unable to be with you all, but do pray for comfort for each of us. I love the Shealy family!
