Mary Baxley Obituary
Weirsdale- Mrs. Mary E. Baxley, 82, long time resident of Weirsdale, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Sylvia's Hospice House. A native of Norfolk, Virginia, she moved to Weirsdale in 1957, coming here from Leesburg. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Weirsdale for many years. She was best known as a loving, caring mother. Mrs. Baxley is survived by her 4 children, Lyn Ohlinger, Bill Baxley, Buddy Baxley, and Gary Baxley, her brother Jack Eason, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. Memorial services for Mrs. Baxley will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Weirsdale with Rev Ron Anderson officiating. Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, is handling arrangements. At the family's request, memorial contributions in Mrs. Baxley's memory may be made to First Baptist Church Weirsdale.

I would say my memories of Mrs. Mary ...she was always calm, caring and had a big smile! She was everyone's "Ma".. She cooked vitals and fixins for the purlou dinners at the Baxley Beach where we kids learned to swim!
Another great pillar of the community gone on to be with the Lord!
