Ocala - In loving memory of Raymond F. Sievers, born January 19, 1933 and died October 21, 2013.
Survived by beloved wife of 55 years, Sylvia; sons Mike (MaryBeth) and Steve (Shari), loving grandchildren Stephanie (Rick), David, Michelle, Danny, Kristen, and Tad; sisters Marion Allen and Eleanor Thoms.
Ray was born in Barrington, Illinois to Adolf and Frieda Sievers, was raised and lived in Palatine, Illinois. Ray was a Korean War veteran having served from 1951-1953. After an honorable discharge, he worked for 30 years at AT&T in the Chicago-land area before retiring and moving to Ocala, Florida. He lived for the past 26 years pursuing his dreams of golf and time with family and friends. He always had a friendly smile and kind words for everyone he met and was fondly known as "friendly Ray". He will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 25, 2013, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd. with Rev. Warren Thompson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 AM until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
