Ocala - Mr. Thomas Bynes of Ocala, FL passed away on May 9, 2013 at his residence.
He was a generous and benevolent father and brother and was affectionately known by several generations of relatives as "Uncle Junior". Drafted into the United States Army in 1967, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam with honor and distinction assigned to the 1st Cavalry Airmobile and 1st Infantry Division's respectively. Mr. Bynes was awarded the Purple Heart for his valiant and selfless service in defense of our nation.
He leaves to cherish his memory sons: Thomas T.C. Bynes, Wytoche Bynes, Delvon Bynes, and Shaddrack Bynes; daughters: Miram Marzella and Tara Leahmon; sisters: Christola Gordon, Lessie Mae Bynes Speights, and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends, and special companion Janice Williams.
He was preceded by brothers: Valder Bynes, Charlie Bynes, Wilbert Bynes, John Leslie Bynes, and Seborn Bynes, and sisters: Luridene James and Willie Bell Williams.
Funeral services for Mr. Bynes will be held on Saturday, May 18th 1:00 p.m. at the Church of God By Faith In Righteousness and True Holiness, Citra, FL. Eulogy will be performed by his nephew Pastor Robbie Williams Jr. A wake service will be held on Friday 7 p.m. at the Greater New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church Inc., Ocala, FL.
