Silver Springs- William Duane "Buddy" McDonald, 55, passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born in Ocala, FL on January 12, 1956. He was raised in Silver Springs, FL. He joined the US Navy and served four years. Buddy loved living in the Forest and spending time with family, friends and his dogs. He is survived by his son Michael (Brandie) McDonald of Silver Springs, FL; sister Terri Rose of Silver Springs, FL; brother Jerry Boyer of Silver Springs, FL; grandsons Lane and Carter McDonald of Silver Springs, FL; nieces Jenny Betty, April Henderson, Rosanna McDonald, Rebecca Boyer and nephews Troy McDermitt, Mario McDonald, and Chip Boyer all of Marion County. He was preceded in death by his father William D. McDonald, Sr., mother Ruth McDonald and sisters Peggy Henderson and Suzanne McDonald. A memorial service will be held at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church on Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.
