OCALA - William Richard Austin, 65 entered into eternal life Monday, February 25, 2013.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and came to Ocala from N. Huntington, PA in 1986. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. William was a corrections officer for the Marion County Sheriff's Office. He retired in 2006. William enjoyed his family life. From Sunday dinners to his attendance at the grandkid's baseball and football games, William was always there. A man of faith, he was a member of the Vine Community Church of Ocala.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Barbara Bee (Cunningham) Austin; son, Skip Austin and wife Sara; daughter Aimee Austin and companion Roy Coleman all of Ocala; grandchildren, Jordon, Chris, Cameron and Josh and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala at 6:15 p.m. The family will receive relatives and friends at a gathering from 5:30 p.m. until the time of service.
