"BILL" G., 80
Ocala - William "Bill" G. Shute, age 80, of Ocala, FL passed away on Friday, December 28, 2012.
He was born in Wheaton, IL on April 1, 1932. He was raised in Glen Ellyn, IL. Bill was the 1949 Tri State Speed Skating Champion. He also lettered in Tennis all four years of high school. He met and married his high school sweetheart Joanne Fowle. They were married for 62 years and together raised 4 children. Bill was an entrepreneur all his life. He owned and operated Broadcasters General Store in Ocala which he founded in 1979. He enjoyed golf, tennis and boating.
He is survived by his wife Joanne "Jo" Shute of Ocala, FL; son Chris (Lorri) Shute of Weirsdale, FL; daughter Kim (Ricky) Forguson of Ocala, FL; daughter Kerry (Dave) Kerstin of Ocala, FL; daughter Kandy (Bob Danielsen) Shute of Minnetrista, MN; six grandchildren Jessica, Jonathan, Wesling, Kyle, Kandice and Karly; and three great-grandchildren Kayla, Marleigh and Eric.
A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala, FL on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, PO Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.

I meant Bill , Jo and Petey many years ago at my place of employment Outback. They are two of the finest people I have ever meant. I have been so lucky to get to know such wonderful individual's thru my job. Bill Shute was a first class guy who treated everyone equally. He will be surly missed. RIP Bill I know you are in a better place and I know your two Petes are right beside you. Dennis and I are gonna miss one he'll of a man William Shute. Our prayers go out to the entire family.
