Anthony - Francis X. Kunzmann, 80, of Anthony joined his wife Patricia in heaven on Monday, March 24, 2014. Francis X. Kunzmann was born in Beaver, Pennsylvania March 18, 1934 to Howard and Mary Kunzman. As a young man in 1952, he joined the Air force and in 1967 he transferred to the Army. After 21 years, he retired from MacDill Air force Base in Tampa, Florida. After he retired, he and his family moved to Port Charlotte to help run a family business. While there in Port Charlotte, he was proud to help found the Charlotte County teen center.
He is a lifelong member of the VFW, Elks Lodge, and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include John H. Kunzmann (son); Michael Kunzmann (son), Theresa Lee Stone (daughter), Patricia Hand (daughter), Francis X. Kunzmann Jr. (son), Barbara Ann Harpool (sister), Gregory E. Kunzmann (brother), Jack Fleming (brother-in-law), Regina Fleming (sister-in-law), 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia A. Kunzmann of 56 years.
A visitation will be held Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., from 2 to 4 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held 8:30 AM on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014 at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala. Burial will be held on April 4, 2014 at 10 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Online condolences may be sent at:
