ELEANOR MARIE, 79
Key West - Mrs. Eleanor Marie Matea, 79, passed away in Key West, FL on April 23, 2014. She was born in Houtzdale, PA on December 4, 1934. She was a retired nurse and was a very dedicated caregiver. Eleanor was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, FL. She was a devoted loving mother. She moved to this area in 1997 from Key West, FL.
Eleanor is survived by a daughter: Karen Richards (Paul) of Goldsboro, NC, one son: David Matea (Virginia) of Key West, FL, one brother: Henry Bungo of Philadelphia, PA, two sisters: Carol Kitko of Houtzdale, PA and Clara Nebinger of Kittanning, PA, five grandchildren: Caitlin, Christopher, Stephanie, Samantha and Sabrina, five great-grandchildren: Samaria, Daniel, Willamena, Malia and Samiah.
The family would like to give their thanks to Hospice of the Florida Keys and the Key West Rescue Team and the Dean-Lopez Funeral Home.
A visitation will take place at the Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West, 6241 SW SR 200, (352) 854-2266, on Sunday, April 27th from 1PM until 3PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on April 28th at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 6455 SW SR 200, on Monday, April 28th at 8:30AM. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Eleanor's name to Hospice of the Florida Keys.
