CHACHO, JOHN, 81
Ocala - John Chacho, 81, of Ocala passed away Friday, April 25, 2014.
Born in Yonkers, New York on October 8, 1932, he was in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division as a paratrooper and served during the Korean War where he earned three Bronze Service Stars. John was a retired Sears Automotive employee that loved a good argument, a good joke and a chance to pass on his wisdom.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Helen Luffman Chacho, who he missed dearly. He is survived by his sons Alexander and Johnny; sisters Mary Acosta and Martha Kowalchyk; step children Denise Malphus Stanford and Ronald Malphus; and many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grand children.
Known for his witty turns of phrase and loving heart, he will be missed by everyone who knew him. A "Celebration of Life" will be held at his home at 5351 NE 25th Ave, Ocala on Friday, May 2nd from 4 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Marion County.
