Ocala - Brian Christopher Gibson, 30, Ocala, FL went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2014 in Ocala, FL.
Brian was born on September 11, 1983 in Leesburg, FL to his parents Richard Robert Gibson and Gidget (Botner) Gibson. Brian worked for the Marion County Sheriff's Office as a Manager in Emergency Services Planning since July of 2013. He had eight years in Public Safety with six years in Fire Service. He was a former Director on the Sumter County Fair Board. Brian held the following certifications: Fire Standards, Fire Instructor I, Florida Associate Emergency Manager, Florida State E.M.T., I.C.S. Instructor, C.E.R.T. Instructor, B.L.S. Instructor, Tactical Combat Casualty Care and Serv-Safe Certificate.
He is survived by his loving mother: Gidget Gibson of Wildwood, Fl; his father and stepmother: Rich Gibson (Eileen) of Orlando, FL; three brothers: Dennis Gibson of Evansville, IN, Kyle Gibson and Jason Gibson both of Orlando, FL; a sister: Heather Gibson of Lady Lake, FL; paternal uncle: Tom Gibson of Deland, FL; two maternal aunts: Jennifer Botner of Orlando, FL and Debbie Munz (Steve) of Oxford, FL; maternal grandmother: Annette Botner of Lady Lake, FL; paternal grandmother: Janet Gibson of Fruitland Park, FL.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Banks, Page-Theus Funeral Home, Wildwood, FL. with Funeral Services to be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church of Wildwood, Wildwood, FL. burial to follow at Adamsville Cemetery, Wildwood, FL. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the , so his gift of giving can continue. Arrangements are entrusted to Banks/Page-Theus Funerals and Cremations, Wildwood.
