DIGGINS, FLORIA, 87
Ocala - Floria Diggins passed away on Friday, May 30 2014. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Providence Rhode Island and was one of six children. She worked in retail at Ann & Hope in Rhode Island and moved to Ocala in 1989. Upon her move, she became a devout parishioner at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Ocala, and was involved in the Right to Life Gatherings and Sacrifice Bead Maker program there.
Floria was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Bernard C. Diggins, sister Edith Simeone, and brothers Salvatore D'Amato and Joseph D'Amato. She leaves behind; her sisters Adele Pomelow (Maine) and Ann Marie Nardi (Rhode Island), two daughters in Ocala, Mary Herbert and Janice Ball, three grandchildren, James Beneda, Jill Beneda, and Alyssa Ball and countless people touched by her love.
There will be a visitation from 1:00PM to 3:00PM on Tuesday, June 3, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, TimberRidge Chapel, 9695 SW 110th St., Ocala. Mass will be at Queen of Peace Catholic Church at 8:30AM, Wednesday, June 4th, followed by committal services at the Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala. Condolences may be expressed at:
