MORFESI, GUIDO, 93
Ocala - Guido Morfesi, 93 of Ocala, FL., passed away at 5:45 A.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
Guido was born in Italy, and he immigrated to this country at the age of seven. His childhood and most of his adult life was spent in the state of Pennsylvania. After he retired as a Mechanical Engineer, a career that allowed him to live and work overseas, moved to this area in 1998. In World War II, he was a Staff Sgt. in the Army, and he was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus when he resided in Roseto, PA; he was a member of the VFW, and an honor guard.
Guido enjoyed playing golf, making antique swords and shields, along with painting.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years Caroline Morfesi of Ocala, FL.; daughter Maria Florkiewicz of Ocklawaha, FL., son Guy Philip Morfesi of Sanford, FL.; and three grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, June 8th at the Roberts Funeral Homes, Downtown Chapel, 606 SW 2nd Ave from 5:00 pm to 7:00 PM with a celebration of life service starting at 7:00 PM, all are welcome to attend and share with the family. There will be a committal service on Monday June 9, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Memorial Garden at 11:00 AM, with honors provided by VFW post Angela Santos, honoring Guido. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the or the in memory of Guido.
