FRANK, PHILIP A., 90
Ocala - Mr. Philip A. Frank, 90, passed away in Ocala, FL on June 20, 2014.
He was born in Bronx, NY on November 12, 1923. He was a U.S. Veteran of the Air Force and flew with the Diamond Back Fortress Group for 50 missions as a tail gunner. He was a retired S. Miami motorcycle policeman of ten years. He was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Shrine in Ocala, FL.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Agnes. In his past he was a revolver expert, aircraft armament and aerial gunnery instructor, a police detective and Deputy Sheriff. He moved to Florida in 1951 from New York.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 22 years. One brother Martin Frank (Susan) of Morgan Hill, CA. Two daughters: Arlene Holler of Gainesville, FL and Linda Frank of High Springs, FL. Two step-daughters: Christine Scordato (Tony) of Staten Island, NY and Karen Pizzo (Tom) of Holmdel, NJ. Two grand-daughters: Jeanette Culpepper (Tim) and Nicole Holler(Luis). Two great-grandchildren: Courtney and Presley.
A gathering of friends will take place at Roberts Funeral Homes Bruce Chapel West 6241 SW SR200 Ocala, FL (352) 854-2266 on Tuesday June 24th from 6-8PM. A funeral Mass will take place at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday the 25th at 11AM. The family requests donations to Hospice of Marion County.
