Flemington - Clarence Mackey, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2009. He was born and raised in Boardman, FL but lived the majority of his life in Flemington. Clarence was a 1970 graduate of Fessenden High School and was an Army Veteran. He was a friend to all and held a special place in the lives of his family and friends. Mourning his loss include his wife of 39 years, Glendina Buie Mackey, Flemington, FL; 1 son, Clarence (Karen) Mackey, Jr., Flemington, FL; 2 daughters, Ebony (Herbert) Burton, Flemington, FL and LeAnn (Troy) Barnes, Ocala, FL; 3 brothers, Alexander (Linda) Mackey and Roger Lee (Idella) Mackey, Boardman, FL and John Wesley Mackey, Gainesville, FL; 1 sister, Earnestine Tate, Gainesville, FL; adopted son, Darryl (Rozina) Castor, Flemington, FL; 2 brothers-in-law, Clark (Mavis) Buie, Gainesville, FL and Donald (Ellette) Buie, Flemington, FL; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Core, Chicago, IL and Deloris Buie, Flemington, FL; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grand and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Mackey will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the House of God Church Keith Dominion, 2830 NW 27th Avenue, Ocala, FL with Rev. Carl Gadson officiating. The eulogy will be performed by Rev. Christopher Stokes. A wake will be held for Mr. Mackey at 7:00 pm on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, Flemington, FL.
