Ocala - Darrell "Ted" Dossey died Saturday May 5, 2012, at his residence in Ocala, Florida. Darrell was born April 10, 1963, to Hubert and Linda (Horne) Dossey in Ocala, FL, and he was a lifelong resident of Ocala. He was an auto mechanic with the Fleet Management of the Marion County Sheriff's Office. Darrell was a drag racing enthusiast, but his greatest enjoyment in life came through his son, David Grey and his family. He had a strong love of the Lord and attended Meadowbrook Church. Darrell is survived by his loving wife, Julie Dossey of Ocala; his son, David Grey Dossey of Ocala; his father, Hubert "Butch" (Joyce) Dossey Jr., of Ocala; his mother, Linda (Max) Watson of Skipperville, Alabama; his sisters: Deitra Dossey and Denene Wright of Ocala. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Joshua Brian Dossey. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. at Meadowbrook Church, 4741 SW 20th St., Ocala, with interment to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 910 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala.
